Managing the customer service functions, including cash, cashiers and merchandising

The store manager is responsible for managing the overall performance of the front of the store. The front of the store includes all areas of the store, including the cosmetics section, except for the pharmacy. The store manager leads the staff with the aim of providing excellent customer service at the front of the store, manages all processes and procedures using financial resources, and ensures that the store's objectives are met.

You will be responsible for welcoming the customer and providing personalized service. You will also have to advise them in the choice of products and provide them with information on the appropriate complementary products to meet their needs. As a cashier, you must provide efficient and fast service at the cash counter and provide personalized and exceptional customer service. You will need to take care of cash transactions (sales, returns and exchanges, price adjustments, etc.), organize the cash desk and restock it properly.

The Assistant Team Leader provides support to the Management team in overseeing the daily retail store operations. In the absence of the management team, the Assistant Team Leader acts as the Manager on Duty (MOD), and ensures that assigned tasks are completed, store opening/closing procedures are followed, and employees work safely.

The Store Manager has a key role at Dollarama, managing and overseeing the store operation which includes day-to-day operations, merchandising activities, recruitment and training of new employees, scheduling and inventory management. The Store Manager also ensures that the standards of the store are in line with company guidelines and best practices.
